Located at 520 Gardeners Road, Alexandria, Ascent on Bourke is one of Sydney’s first state-of-the-art inner city multi-level industrial facilities. Occupying just 1.9Ha, the project is a two-storey warehouse and distribution centre comprising 21,952 m2 of warehouse and distribution GFA with 5,557 m2 of ancillary office space, landscaping at ground and second-floor levels, bicycle, and car parking. One of the first of its kind, the facility features a 37m high breezeway, multiple FM2 suspended slabs, including a unique suspended car park, office and first-floor slab, as well as 3 intricate crossing ramps resembling highways.

Overcoming spatial constraints and construction challenges, composite metal decking and high-grade structural steel were used to reduce tonnage and material usage. Located strategically in Sydney’s Southern Enterprise Area, it integrates within the preexisting urban landscape.
